1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ISKCONapps ("the Service"), available at iskconapps.com and its subdomains, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
ISKCONapps is a voluntary digital service initiative created to support ISKCON temples and devotee communities. It is not an official ISKCON organization.
2. Description of Service
ISKCONapps provides a platform for ISKCON temples and communities to manage:
- Utsavas: Festival and event registration, ticketing, and management
- SevaFi: Volunteer and seva (service) coordination
- Sunday School: Children's education class management and enrollment
- Food Court: Prasadam (sanctified food) stall and order management
The Service is provided as a devotional offering and may be modified, updated, or discontinued at any time.
3. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
- You may sign in using your email and password or through Google Sign-In.
4. Event Registration and Payments
4.1 Registration
- Event registrations are subject to availability and the policies of the organizing temple.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided during registration, including family member details.
- Registration confirmation is subject to payment verification by temple administrators.
4.2 Payments
- Payments are processed through third-party providers including Square, Stripe, Zelle, and Cash App.
- ISKCONapps facilitates payment tracking but does not directly process or hold funds.
- Refund policies are determined by the individual temple or event organizer.
- All payment disputes should be directed to the organizing temple.
5. Temple Administrator Responsibilities
If you are a temple administrator using the Service:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of event information, pricing, and policies published through the platform.
- You must handle registrant data in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
- You are responsible for managing payment reconciliation and refund requests.
- You must ensure that assigned roles and access permissions are appropriate and current.
- You agree not to misuse registrant data for purposes unrelated to temple activities.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Submit false or misleading information
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Scrape, harvest, or collect user data without authorization
- Impersonate another person or organization
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-submitted data), is the property of ISKCONapps. The ISKCONapps name and logo are our trademarks. ISKCON and related names and marks are the property of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. ISKCONapps is a voluntary service initiative and makes no warranties regarding the reliability or availability of the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ISKCONapps and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, revenue, or anticipated savings.
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ISKCONapps and its contributors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith discussion first, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.
